Wounded Healer (1 fl oz tincture)
Wounded Healer
Fresh calendula, white and red rose, white and pink yarrow in grain alcohol.
A gentle shield of loving boundaries, energetic and medicinal protection especially for caregivers and empathetic healers. Helps to settles the nerves, calm and collect the spirit, and keep your energy safe to yourself so you can show up for others in grace and compassion. Give yourself a bit of a protective shield against vicarious trauma! May also be gently supportive for anxiety, digestive tension/looseness, IBS, menstrual cramping, and connective tissue.
I originally formulated this tincture blend when I was studying in massage school, and struggling with "transference" related issues--difficulties not taking on other peoples' trauma and pain, as an empathetic and highly sensitive person myself. I started sharing it with other friends who do this work and received powerful feedback about how effective it was! That's when I felt moved to commit to making Wounded Healer as a part of my regularly-produced tincture line each year, specifically with fresh ingredients.
Regardless of your spiritual beliefs or leanings, I consider this a broadly-applicable herbal ally for anyone who cares for or works closely with others: parents, nurses, doctors, acupuncturists, healthcare workers, activists, community workers, religious or spiritual leaders, actors, teachers of any kind, etc.
This is a lower dose, energetically-focused formula. Dosing can start at 1-10 drops as a trial to see how it makes you feel, and you can increase up to 30 drops at a time or as intuited.
